LSI's Founder
Frank
Zaffere
Frank Zaffere is the founder of LegalSolutionsInternational LLC. He
is a highly accomplished business lawyer with more than 30 years experience
in virtually all aspects of corporate and commercial law. Mr. Zafferes
areas of concentration have included corporate finance, mergers and
acquisitions and regulatory matters.
Before establishing
LSI, Mr. Zaffere was a senior officer and the general counsel of a Chicago
based, privately-owned holding company with controlling interests in
a wide variety of companies engaged in manufacturing and service businesses
throughout the United States and in Canada. While in this position,
Mr. Zaffere handled or oversaw a significant number of acquisitions
and was involved in both the negotiation of those transactions and the
related financing arrangements that were required. He also coordinated
all litigation matters in which his employer was involved. Much of Mr.
Zaffere's time was directed to the retention and supervision of outside
counsel who were involved in the handling of transactional and litigation
matters.
Mr. Zaffere began
his career on Wall Street with Sullivan & Cromwell where, among
other things, he handled complex corporate finance transactions for
domestic and foreign issuers and underwriters, as well as equity participants
in large leveraged leases; was involved in so-called "friendly"
tender offer transactions; and was included on an elite team that specialized
in the regulatory affairs of mutual funds and their advisers. In 1980,
he moved to Chicago where he continued his earlier practice specialties
and expanded his areas of concentration to include mergers and acquisitions
and the representation of securities broker-dealers and commodity firms.
Mr. Zaffere received
his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame
and his law degree from Georgetown University, where he was a member
of the executive board of the international law journal. He is licensed
to practice law in the States of New York and Illinois, and the District
of Columbia, and enjoys an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He also
is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, an international
organization whose members include bankers, accountants, lawyers and
other professionals involved in the corporate renewal process.
